“Scitor is a privately owned technology-based company that provides systems engineering, program management, subject matter expertise (SME), information systems, and mission operations support to its Government customers. Headquartered in Herndon, Virginia the company has 21 operating locations across the U.S. with the majority of employee-owners in the National Capital Region (NCR), California, and Colorado. Our facilities are located near our customers to ensure timely and responsive support. Founded in 1979, Scitor is known for its systems engineering and technical analysis (SETA) expertise. Scitor’s 1280 (approximately 600 in the Washington, DC/NCR area) staff provide engineering, management consulting, and information services primarily for Government programs under long-term cost reimbursable or time and materials contracts. Scitor supports all phases of its customers’ complex systems and programs from initial concept and requirements definition through acquisition, development, and deployment to operation and maintenance. Supporting the national security needs of U.S. Government customers, the company’s professional staff includes former military and intelligence officials, industry business leaders, scientists, analysts, engineers (aerospace, systems, electrical, mechanical, information), and mathematicians, as well as graphic designers. Scitor sustains a 95% retention rate of its highly qualified, cleared staff. The majority of the staff has Top Secret (TS) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearances.”
